GRADUATE ENTRY DNP PROGRAM

GRADUATE ENTRY DNP CURRICULUM 2007-2008 and 2008-2009

Currently, the Graduate Entry DNP Program curriculum is in transition as the program evolves and responds to trends in nursing practice and the health care system. Listed below are the curricula for students entering in Fall, 2007 and in Fall, 2008. Effective for students enrolling in Fall, 2009, the pre-licensure curriculum of the Graduate Entry DNP Program will be revised further. Our goal is to award a graduate degree at the end of the pre-licensure program. The length of the pre-licensure phase of the program may be changed from 16 to 20 months. More information about these changes to the Program will be posted as they are available.

Progression from one semester to the next in the Pre-licensure, MSN and DNP components of the DNP Program is contingent upon passing grades in all courses taken in the preceding semester and an overall GPA of 3.0. (Refer to the School of Nursing Bulletin for full policy on progression.)

NOTE: Successful completion of all pre-licensure courses is necessary to sit for the Professional Nursing Licensing Examination (NCLEX-RN). The Bolton School has the right to determine a student's readiness to sit for this exam and also reserves the right to restrict testing until the student demonstrates a readiness to pass the examination.
