The Sarah Cole Hirsh Institute awarded 57 basic certificates in evidence-based practice in 2007.
Katherine Jones has been appointed to the Student Poster Award Committee, 2008 Annual Research Meeting, Academy Health
Katherine Jones has been appointed to the planning committee for the 25th Annual Research Meeting of AcademyHealth.
Katherine Jones has been appointed to a 3-year term on the Nursing Research Review Committee of the American Nurses Foundation
Katherine R. Jones, the Sarah Cole Hirsh Professor, was honored as a “Woman of Excellence” during the Case Western Reserve University 2007 Research ShowCASE.
Dr. Jones also received an MNRS Research Mentor Grant Award at the 2007 MNRS research conference; she will be mentoring Dr. AkkeNeel Talsma from the University of Michigan School of Nursing.

Noreen Brady, Director of the Hirsh Institute, along with faculty colleague Linda Lewin, recently had their article “Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing: Bridging the Gap between Research and Practice,” published in the January/February 2007 issue of the Journal of Pediatric Health Care (Volume 21, pp. 53-56).

Dr. Jones presented a paper titled “Factors Influencing Venous Ulcer Healing in Older Adults” at the 2007 Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS) meeting held in Omaha Nebraska.
