ABOUT JUDY MALONI AND HER RESEARCH

Judith A. Maloni, PhD, RN, FAAN, formerly an Associate Professor of Women's Health Nursing, University of Wisconsin, Madison, is now an Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve University's Bolton School of Nursing. She received her PhD for the University of Pittsburgh and has been working with pregnant women on bed rest for 10 years. Her research on pregnancy bed rest began when she was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Nurse Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania. Since that time she has produced most of the major research and publications on the topic of pregnancy bed rest. She is also the recipient of the first National Institute of Health, National Institute of Nursing Research, research grant award for research on the topic.
