Bolton School students undergo hands-on experiential learning at some of the nation's premier medical institutions, including Cleveland Clinic (the #1 hospital for cardiac care), University Hospitals of Cleveland (one of the top 20 biomedical research centers in the country), and MetroHealth Medical Center (one of only 19 Level 1 trauma centers, with a burn unit and rehabilitation facilty specializing in spinal cord injuries).

BSN students provide four years of community service learning, culminating in the Senior Capstone Project, a special practicum providing a community-based immersion experience in health care delivery with vulnerable populations such as Native Americans, migrant workers, the Australian aboriginal community, and the urban poor. Recent Capstone experiences have taken place throughout Cleveland, the United States, and various countries such as Norway, Chile, St. Lucia, Australia, Thailand, Uganda, and others.
